Blood Pledge

A Blood Pledge is a guild led by a Prince or Princess. Pledges share a chat channel, fight pledge wars and are the only way to take part in a castle siege.

What is a Blood Pledge?

A Blood Pledge is a group of players united under a single banner, led by a character of the Prince/Royal class.

The name comes from the ancient tradition of warriors sealing their oath with blood—a promise of loyalty unto death.

Blood Pledges can participate in castle sieges, declare war on rival pledges, and access exclusive pledge content.

Being part of a strong Blood Pledge is essential for experiencing everything Lineage has to offer.

Creating a Blood Pledge

Only characters of the Royal (Prince/Princess) class can create and lead a Blood Pledge.

Creating a pledge requires reaching the appropriate level and paying a fee at the pledge NPC.

Choose your pledge name carefully—it will represent you in all your battles and achievements.

As the pledge leader, you set the direction for your Blood Pledge and make decisions on wars and alliances.

Steps

  1. Level Your Royal

    Reach the required level to unlock pledge creation.

    • Royals gain XP normally—focus on leveling first

  2. Visit the Pledge NPC

    Find the pledge manager in major towns to register your Blood Pledge.

    • Bring the required Adena
    • Have your pledge name ready

  3. Recruit Members

    Invite players to join your Blood Pledge and grow your ranks.

    • Quality over quantity
    • Active players are worth more than numbers

Joining a Blood Pledge

New players should strongly consider joining an established Blood Pledge for protection and guidance.

Look for pledges that advertise newbie-friendly policies and active mentorship.

Being in a pledge gives you access to pledge chat, shared resources, and group activities.

Pledge Hierarchy

Blood Pledges have a structured hierarchy with different ranks and permissions:

Prince / Princess: The pledge leader with full control over all pledge functions.

Guardian Knights: Trusted officers who can invite members and manage some pledge affairs.

Elite Guards: Veteran members recognized for their contributions.

Members: Full pledge members with standard privileges.

Recruits: New members on probation before gaining full membership.

Pledge Warfare

Blood Pledges can declare war on rival pledges, enabling PvP between members without the usual penalties.

Pledge wars add drama and conflict to the world, creating memorable rivalries and epic battles.

Wars can be formal (declared through the pledge system) or informal (ongoing hostility).

The most legendary conflicts in Lineage history were pledge wars that shaped entire servers.
